    The reason I choose this particular major is because after I realized at the age of eight that a societys economy is directly related to the stability of its  proletariat, it began to sink in - with the help of the local newspapers business section - that financial stability depends upon the concept of business. It is no  secret that everyone is concerned about the wealth of our country; no matter if you are a gardener, teacher or director of a large corporation, the economy significantly influences every  aspect of every life. Moreover, I find my focus to point toward that of an analyst for the Mandatory Provident Fund Department (MPF), which is a compulsory retirement scheme  in Hong Kong. This particular venture interests me, inasmuch as my uncle - who is already employed there - advised me as to what is really going on inside  that industry, and I find it is suitable for my personality. Past experience that has helped to lead me in this direction  includes being a math tutor while in high school, as well as a volunteer of the youth center. Paying positions included working part-time as an insurance consultant while at  the same time attending my first year at City University of Hong Kong. These experiences taught me a lot of important things that I will be able to apply  to my future career in business. One thing I learned is that I communicate better with strangers than with those people I know, which I realized upon preparing life  insurance policies for my customer, which is greatly related to the work in MPF.
