learning and applying that learning take place over a period of weeks., This will involve looking at different research skills and the theories that are learnt using those research skills.  In the project to write a business plan for the a new business the first consideration will be the way the research can be conducted to gathered the relevant information.  The research methods do not need to be directly relevant to the case study, but give the information that is needed. The first stage was to develop the  idea of how information would be used and the need to ensure that there was a solid foundation for any theories utilised in the writing of the report. This lead  to the use of triangulation. In this document we will trace the development of understanding of the theories used in the development of the business plan, in the order  they were studied and applied before the final holistic approach was taken in the production of the final business plan. This document reflects what was learned and how it can  be applied. 2. Research In using triangulation there is the ability of the researcher to make sure there is a solid foundation  for any information used. Triangulation is a methodology often used in research to ensure that results can be interpreted as correct. It uses at least two different pieces or information  or perspectives to validate research, instead of a single piece of information being assumed to be right; this is a system of cross-checking.
