this we need to consider which variables are present and how they can be measured. The first variable is the level of education, this is an objective measures and  the independent variable, this may be classified against the highest level of education/schooling that has been against, these may be simple classifications measured by achievement, such as failure to complete  high school, high school diploma, bachelors degree, masters degree or other post grad degree such as MBA, and finally doctorate of PhD. The dependant variable is the stress; this  may be more difficult to measure due to the nature and manifestation of stress, with a wide range of symptoms. There are several different measures of stress which may be  used. The best known is Holmes and Rahe, this is a scale that measures stress ion a scale by assessing the presence of stressors in the life of an individual,  such as the death of a spouse or divorce may be used, but this is a lengthy assessment and may be too time consuming or too general, it is also  a measures of stressors rather than the level of stress that an individual is suffering.
