1 This presentation will demonstrate the way in which we will undertake primary research in order to assess if there is any link or correlation, positive of inverse,  between stress levels and the education level of an individual. Slide 2 The first stage in undertaking primary research is to create  an hypothesis (H1), this is a clear and succinct definition of the argument or idea that we believe to be true, or the theory we are trying to prove (Curwin  and Slater, 2006). Following this we need to create a null hypothesis (H0), this is a statement that is the opposite of the hypothesis so in this case the null  hypothesis is a statement that there is no correlation between stress and education. This is important as it is only by trying to prove the null hypothesis and failing that  we will be able to accept the hypothesis (Curwin and Slater, 2006). Slide 3 The approach to be adopted is that of a  quantitative approach, as we are going to make use of statistical analysis the larger the size of the sample less potential there will be for sampling bias and the more  reliable the result will be, making this a suitable approach for this research. The use of a self completing survey tool will be used, and the answers coded, the two  main dimensions will be to classify education kevel and stress level. The education level is coded by the highest level of education attained by each respondent. 1 for those who  did not gradual high school, 2 for those with a high school diploma, 3 for those with a bachelors degree, 4 for those with a masters degree and 5
