nature of money as well as how to make it work and grow. Orman puts money into perspective in this book. Orman doesnt simply offer a formula in  terms of investments and how to make our money earn more, its more a a financial lesson which she presents. Orman helps her readers understand the role which money  plays in their lives and allows the reader to better comprehend the true value of money. Orman emphasizes that money should not be the top priority in our lives.  She stresses the importance of valuing ourselves and explains that a by-product of that will be increased financial success. By valuing ourselves, we value our money.  This book presents a very complete understanding of money which is a very different perspective for a financial advise book. Most often these types of books focus on the  financial aspects solely, while Orman focuses on all aspect of a persons life - including the financial aspect. Ormans Nine Steps to Financial Freedom are as follows:  Step 1: Think back to your formative experiences with money and consider what these memories have taught you about who you  were then and how they affect who you are today (Orman, 1998). People indeed have very different ideas about money and the  role it plays in their lives. Much of what we know about money and our feelings regarding money have to do with how our parents felt about money and  what we learned by observing their behaviors. Like everything else in life, our childhood has a great deal of influence on our adulthood in terms of forming these beliefs.
