making sure that quality is a priority, but as time goes on, new concerns emerge. What will be the next phase of quality initiatives at this firm? First, it  is important to address the present state of quality at Rosenbluth. It seems that information technology has played a significant role in terms of improvements at this company. For example,  Rosenbluth has implemented various systems which make sure that data is collected and up to date and that customers are well served. However, there have been concerns. One that Hal  Rosenbluth notes is that there is an inherent inflexibility in the CRS system. Of course, VISION would be implemented to correct problems with the CRS system. PRECISION was something  that would offer clients up to date information at point of service. This means that customers are helped immediately, and adds to customer satisfaction. An important part of this quality  model is that good service is guaranteed. Rosenbluth presented a promise that if a consumer is dissatisfied, they would be refunded a portion of their money. This "performance promise" was  well received by employees and elegant service was accentuated. The idea that the performance promise might cause morale problems did not come to fruition. Still, one may surmise that keeping  employees under strict rules is contrary to the usual thinking as it respects employee satisfaction. Also, the case study relays the fact that in 1988, TQM was implemented. From reading  through the case study, there are few negatives at Rosenbluth. The problem at hand is how Kathy can keep the momentum going. How can she improve on something that is  not broke? The presented dilemma may appear simple on the surface, but it is incredibly difficult to live up to a good reputation, while also working to improve things.
