part we hear of the drugs and the dangers which are associated with this culture and the gatherings of this particular cultural reality. With clubs hosting rave parties where dancing,  social interaction, and drug ingestion takes place we often hear of all of the harmful realities associated with the Rave culture. However, in many ways this culture is nothing more  than one element of capitalistic societies which seem to worship leisure industries. In the following paper we examine the Rave culture, in terms of its social statements and its social  activities. The paper then examines how the culture is representative of a capitalistic society. The Rave Culture "Straight out of a near-future movie they come -- bearing glowsticks  and blow pops. They mass by the hundreds and sometimes thousands in tripped-out warehouses, abandoned shopping malls and roller rinks" (Morgan, 2002; rave). Their clothing which is worn is chosen  specially so that it glows beneath the black lights. The "pulsing, electronic music drives the throng to dance as one" (Morgan, 2002; rave). It is a place, and an event,  that brings many people together, giving youth a place where they feel accepted and part of a unit. "They go to experience the vibe -- the feeling of goodwill and  acceptance the all-night gatherings generate. Its a state of peace and unity kids say they cant find in the real world," though more often than not it seems to also  be a place of "drug-induced euphoria that real world authorities often condemn as dangerous" (Morgan, 2002; rave). "A rave is a gathering or party where people (mostly teenagers and  twenty-somethings) come together to listen to music and dance.
