Plato applied his Essentialism theory to the nature of species as well and suggested that all living things had a dualistic reality
also. This reality consisted of both the perfect and the imperfect - just as in the case of the universe. Many
people within the sciences agreed with Platos theory of applying Essentialism to living things and many continue to believe this theory has merit even today. Naturally, there are those
