that both quantitatively and qualitatively, life really begins at death. Life as it as known has a greater significance than many realize, but it is not what people think.
Guti?rrez (1988) observes that the philosophical issues of the times are characterized by new relationships of humankind and nature which have ben born of advances in technology and science. Indeed,
within the world there have been changes over the centuries to render mans relationship with the world different than it once had been. Technology has changed things and to some,
that means liberation from work and inconvenience. In looking back historically one can see that even the upper class had to accomplish tasks for which help was not available due
to the fact that things were not yet invented. Today, people drive in cars instead of having to endure bumpy horse and buggy rides. In the future, people may have
flying machines that make the automobile look antiquated. Yet, is this really liberation? Guti?rrezs book is entitled Theology of Liberation. What does he mean by liberation? What does the fact
that the present life is just a test have to do with liberation? At first glance it appears that one can be liberated spiritually if they realize that life is
