Florida Atlantic University (FAU) was founded in 1961 and is located in Boca Raton, Florida. The College of Business seeks to "foster a climate of intellectual achievement  and diversity for our stakeholders through creation of, and access to, relevant business knowledge" (Vision, Mission and Values, n.d.). Stated values include scholarship, creativity, academic service, leadership and ethics  (Vision, Mission and Values, n.d.). It provides a solid business base to those who may  bring alternative perspectives and experiences to management positions within organizations. This represents a leading strength in that organizations actively seek ethnic and cultural minorities to increase internal diversity. Technological
