One important thing to  consider is that for any company, strategy is important but some firms want to implement chaos theory or game theory in their mode of thinking and not worry about the  specifics. Yet, it is important to periodically review and evaluate company history and goals in order to come up with applicable strategies to implement vision and to reach goals.  A student writing on a firms strategy will want to first take a look at goals and company history, along with its vision, in  order to come up with an appropriate plan. A SWOT analysis can be helpful in outlining a firms strengths and weaknesses, as well as to see what opportunities it might  have missed or threats for which the company may not have been aware. II. Strategic Plan for Fedmet  A case study for Fedmet includes the fact that Federal Metals is owned by Federal Industries Limited (Stacey 424). The Canadian company has placed its focus on metals distribution  (424). In recent times, the company has reached out to both suppliers and customers (426). The firm embraces the idea that they are a part of a larger community of  metals and that things would work better with cooperation (426).
