A good manager will consider the information they have, looking for relevant facts in knowing what they are looking for, they will  then process the information using the skills they have and the decision and process will then manifest in their management style. One aspect of this process is to understand perceptions,  and how they may influence individuals. An individuals perception is the way in which they see and interpret words or actions, This may vary from person to person. Perception is  the result of many factors and may be influenced by past experiences, insight, intuition, or knowledge. The initialisation of these will then lead to a perception. In looking at  the role of perception an organisation this must be seen as key to the effective running of an organisation. It is often cited that management and employees will be on  opposite side, diametrically opposed in a confrontational relationship. This is a perception that has built up with the stereotypical models where workers feel they are not paid what they are  worth and the employers want to maximise their labour at a minimal cost. This type of model was common the past and has lead to union action and contradiction that  has been costly to both employer and employee. In these cases it may be seen that there were two different perception at work, and neither was really understood by the  other side. If the perception and the root causes of the perceptions were understood then the attitudes of the management may have been different and situation managed so that  conflict did not arise. Indeed, in looking into the perception and the causes of the perception managements own perception would have changed. The
