already seen as at risk, and may be taken away at birth unless the situation changes. In seeking to help Anna there are several different agencies that may be used  in order to improve her situation. She needs both practical help as well as emotions support and care. Anna has few friends  of links with the outside world, she was in a dependant relationship, and this has now ended, her history before this was one of successive short term foster care. One  of the most important aspects needs to be an ongoing relationship with a social worker, so that trust may be built up. The social worker may then offer support and  also may be a point from which potential family ties may be further investigated. If this is a route that is then followed up family counselling may also be benefit.  Anna may also benefit from a counsellor to help with the situation. The charity that are currently helping her are seeking a  counsellor, but a more long term plan would be beneficial for Anna. Anna needs to escape the cycle of abusive relationships, first with her father and then with Joel. Anna  also has many other issues in her past such as the instability and the results of the short term placements that would also benefit from counselling to improve her emotional  state. We know that there were former problems with the mother and father, however, the family situation may have changed as it  is many years. If the mother is now sober and separated from her father, although not a solution to Annas problems, family contract may help with some support. Accessing this
