have been given a break down of a number of figures all required to put together a budget. We will calculate the figure we need for each item before putting  them into the monthly projection. From this we can then look at the level of capital required and determine for how long this is required. The first stage is  to calculate the level of visitors for each month, and then look at the ticket sales. We are told there will be no visitors in the month of April, May  and June. January will have a high number of visitors. We have the total number of adult tickets to be sold and the total number of childrens tickets sold. Therefore,  the number of adult tickets are the total tickets less the adult tickets. The next stage is to determine how many of these  sales will take place in January, we are told that 50% of the childrens tickets will be in January and 80% of the adults tickets, this is the January figure  the remainder of the total less the January sales are the sales for the rest of the months. The faculty is open for 9 months, we have January sales, so  the remaining sale need to be divided by the remaining 8 months. These calculation are shown below. Adult Tickets Childrens Tickets Total tickets sold 67,320 130,672  197,992 January visitors 53,856 65,336 119,192 Non January visitors 13,464 65,336 78,800 Number of months open (excluding Jan) 8 8 Sales each remaining month 1,683 8,167 Jan  Sales Adults Children Total income Number of tickets 53,856 65,336 Ticket Price 7.50 3.00 Income 403,920 196,008 599,928 Monthly Non January Sales Adults Children Total income Number
