It becomes even more challenging if the entrepreneur in question is a woman, rather than a man. Even in this equal society of ours today, mowing the lawn tends to
be regarded as "mens work." While ladies are responsible for cleaning inside the house, men deal with the outdoors, or so goes the thinking.
In this paper, well examine the best way for a female entrepreneur to start a lawn care business. The key to any successful endeavor is to get the word
out, do whats promised, and to promote word-of-mouth. But there are other factors, as well see, when it comes to getting this particular business of the ground. SWOT Analysis
Analyzing a companys strengths and weaknesses (internal) and opportunities and threats (external) can give a person a good idea what she is likely
to encounter when trying to start the business. Well analyze the environment as follows. Strengths. One strength (we have to assume)
is experience in this endeavor. Few people go into running a lawn mowing business without having some incentive. Maybe a neighbor admired the way the lawn was done. Or maybe
the person just likes it. Regardless, this service is offering quality lawn mowing, at an affordable price, and with a professional attitude.
Weakness. Starting out. The first two or three years for a small business can be dismal - capital is required to keep things going. In a business such as lawn
service, which relies on equipment, capital investment needs to be considered as well. What happens if a part or piece of equipment breaks? That could mean missing several jobs.
