    problems. As such may develop strategies to prevent the problems arising. In this case there will be a shortage of team workers and communicators in the company by the year  2010. The structure is projected at being flatter, and as such the level of bureaucracy will have reduced and as such will also have fewer levels of communication, the range  of departments may remain as diverse. Unfortunately, we do not know the actual cause of the problem, his may be due to the changing structure and an increased need for  these skills, alternatively it may be that many of those with the skills are retiring or expected to leave. We will assume that there is a combination of factors, and  as such we need to adapt the exiting workers as well as ensure that new workers are recruited with the correct skills. These new recruits can then be included in  the development of existing employees to further develop skills. Therefore, we will first look at developing the team working and communication skills of the existing employees to develop a culture  that facilitates this type of interaction and operation. Teambuilding is often seen as the ability to get people to work together, to gel and to feel comfortable with each  other, the use of team building exercises is often used, such as boot camps where teams have to work together, even social events may increase team spirit. These may have  value, partly with an ability for the individuals to get to know each other as individuals, and develop personal or social links, finding common interests, and as such identifying with  aspects of others (Huczyniski and Buchanan, 1996). This helps to increase commitment to other members of a team, and as such work rates will often increase due to the commitment
