Josh and Barbara met for lunch every week without fail; this friendly ritual had endured five years of personal problems, social concerns, birthdays, anniversaries and everything else  that two such individuals could share over the course of time. Their relationship was based within a solid friendship, inasmuch as they reflected many of the same emotional issues  in each other and provided an outlet for frustration, fear and the prospect of lost freedom; both Josh and Barbara are homosexuals. Josh: People from all walks of life must endure social intolerance at one  time or another; however, certain groups face prejudicial persecution on a regular basis. What is the answer for gays and lesbians that would bring a sense of peace, security  and renewed freedom in this lifetime? Is it too much to hope for that social bias begin to wane in exchange for a more understanding and open-minded world?  Geez, Barbara, what lies at the foundation of all intolerance is a combination of fear and ignorance, an alliance that not only precludes the chance for our inherent freedom as
