the most pressing issue, one could argue, that has yet to be addressed and offered a workable solution is that of racial profiling. Many mistakenly believe that a profile  based on gender or race was abolished many years ago, but according to recent studies the practice of stereotyping an individual based on his or her gender or race is  still alive and well, though perhaps practiced under a new guise. The whole idea of racial profiling came about with the first few theories about race and the differences between  varying cultures. One of the first theories was that of discrimination.
