    in order to meet the new businesses challenges. Change alone is not enough, the organisation also has to be able to learn and change in line with the environment in  which it operates. May tools and models have been developed to enable the development of an organisation, and facilitate learning. As more companies become aware of the need to innovate  there is increased importance placed on creative thinking, As situations become more complex to way they are measured and analysed as well as responded to needs to be able to  deal with the increased complexity. The need to generate new ideas and original perspectives is sought by many, one of the tools that has been developed in order to aid  with the generation of new ideas and create a learning environment is Total System Intervention. This is an interesting tool, it is both flexible and holistic, however, when we consider  the model we may also argue that in achieving this flexibility is also vague and loose that may not reach the desired results. If we are to apply this  model to the role of creative thinking and organisational learning we first need to consider what we mean by Total System Intervention. To outline this system we may argue that  it is more suited to a wider range of environments and scenarios than the soft or hard systems methodologies (Flood and Jackson, 1991). This is a system that brings together  different, already proven systems developed to generate creative thinking (Flood and Jackson, 1991). The models makes use of metaphors in order to address the major issues, and these are then  used to identify the most suitable one or too methodologies that will be used (Flood and Jackson, 1991). Therefore, this a customisable methods that can be modified to best suit
