    consumers and their own employees. We have also heard and read about the importance of employee confidence and trust in the organization in terms of its success. We have also  read about the importance of strategic management in todays business world. Experts have reported companys cannot succeed in this global marketplace that is fiercely competitive without strategic management. Strategic management  provides direction for the entire company. It is based on analyses and the development of objectives and strategies to achieve the objectives. There is a gap in research, however. Few,  if any studies exist that address the relationship between confidence or trust in the organization and successful strategic management. In fact, this researcher could not find a single study that  addressed the impact of employee trust in the organization on implementation of strategies. Purpose, Importance, Scope of Research Much has been written about the importance of trust or  confidence in the organization and the positive effect of that confidence. Articles and books on strategic management abound but research suggests that less than half of all strategic plans are  implemented. Almost nothing has been written about any relationship between employee confidence and trust in the companys management team and the implementation of strategic plans. If new strategies that emerge  from strategic planning, change is necessary to implement these new strategies. It would seem that employee trust and confidence in the organization would have a direct impact on the implementation  of strategic plans. Further, Ellonen, Blomqvist and Puumalainen (2006) report a link between a companys innovativeness and employee trust. New strategies are innovations. Therefore, the purpose of this study  is to try to discover if there is a relationship between employee trust and confidence in the organization and the successful implementation of the strategies included in the plan.
