It is  used to treat muscular conditions that cause the person pain (Vickers, Zollman and Reinish, 2001). It can also help reduce anxiety and improve sleep (Vickers, Zollman and Reinish, 2001). Most  cultures have developed systems for therapeutic massage and this form of healing dates back to ancient cultures in both Chinese and Indian health care (Vickers, Zollman and Reinish, 2001). It  wasnt until the early 19th century that massage was systematized in Europe (Vickers, Zollman and Reinish, 2001). The movement was led by Per Henrik Ling who developed a technique that
