In the last stages difficulties emerge with some assumptions failing, such as co-operation of the staff and when failures do occur this is brought to the attention of the managing
director. Had Young attempted to take more time winning over the staff and allowed mote time for testing and delays the difficulties may not have occurred. Project Scope Definition
The project is to convert the companies operating system from the current Windows 95 to Windows NT. This will involve upgrading each individual computer as well as hardware upgrades
including larger hard drives and some new NT servers and the management of data migration to an oracle database. The conversion will impact all areas of the system, from the
personal computers on the network to the company web space and will be implemented in a logical linear manner. The disruption to each user will be the two hours it
takes for the conversion to take place plus some personal time for the users to clear space in their hard drives. The project is projected as taking part in four
phases over a period of eight weeks. Mission Objectives The mission is convert the WOI IT system into a state of the art system by converting the windows
95 system to a windows NT system with the minimum of inconvenience to the staff and making sure all systems remain operational during he conversion. Scope/Major Deliverables
The major deliverable is the conversion of the IT system to all the office users with eight weeks, with two hours down time for each PC and a seamless conversion
