However, before expansion needs to be considered, communications at home is necessary to  prevent further problems of public perception. In wake of information from the George Health Director regarding 10 deaths in the South and  the potential link to Won-Tons soups, particularly the Cream of Won Ton Soup, the media has been asking questions of various company executives and employees are hearing rumors and are,  understandably concerned about the situation. If this continue, the situation could get out of hand, with rumors floating around and the media printing negative information about Won-Ton Company.  Although no definite link has been established between the soup and the deaths and illnesses, while coroners are reviewing the information, it is imperative  to get into place a communications campaign in order to prevent customer good will - a major part of any successful operation - from dwindling to nothing. Discussion  The difficulty in any potential food poisoning case, of which this is, is trying to stem the tide of negative publicity. Management has already  gone a long way by beginning the recall of Cream of Won Ton soup, and this information needs to be gotten to the media at once. However, the consequences of  this are many; namely that many people have already eaten the soup and could become ill. If the deaths are definitely traced to Won-Ton Company, this could likely result in  a terrible public relations fiasco that would not only impact the Cream of Won Ton Soups but also spill over into other products manufactured by the Won-Ton Company.
