    18,000 bikes sold were made up of 10 different models. The firm is able to adapt and customize the bikes for the Canadian market, such as adjusting the controls to  cope with the heavier average weight of the riders in Canada. The distribution network appears to be well developed, in addition to the 2 corporate stores, there are fifty  dealers across the country which account for 35% of sales and six franchise stores located in Ontario. The fact that these are bikes are now classified as street legal in  Ontario may also be seen as strength that aids sales and allows the bike to compete against other products and with the early move it appears Daymak has the first  mover advantage. Weaknesses The supply chain may be seen as a weakness, the bikes are brought over from China, with the supply limited it was stated that the firm  had lost the potential to sell up to an additional 10,000 units in the previous year as the could not get the supply they needed. This may be seen as  a sever constraint in terms of future growth unless there is increased supply available. Opportunities The firm has a number of opportunities. With the ability to provide street legal  vehicles the current economic conditions where there are rising gas pricing, which had risen above $1 litre, and the global recession there is a desire by many commuters to save  money, as disposable income decreases there will be attempts to reduce spending in areas where it is not needed (Nellis and Parker, 2006). At $1,500 for a unit that meets  the economic needs as well as providing some health benefits and saving of complimentary costs there is a an opportunity to increase sales.
