    me as far as London rather than have someone pick me up. That still gave me over two hours to compose myself and pledge promises to myself that I would  not loose my cool once my sister, Fiona, started bellowing out orders to all of us. Fiona and I had not spoken for over five years which seemed to be  the only way we truly got along. She was the oldest in our family and as I was the youngest, she was over fifteen years my elder. Between us were  our three brothers, the twins Ian and Sean, and Mike, only 2 years older than myself. Our mother, Brenda, was not a disciplinarian by any means but neither was she  an adequate cook, or house wife. She was a socialite really, if socialites could still exist in this modern world. Our father, Matt, was the one who really held the  family together, such as it was, and this was not through any means of discipline either but merely by the fact that he was always fun to be around and  had a continued sense of adventure even in his later years. Because of this mix, I suppose, Fiona seemed to feel that it was up to her to organize the  house, the meals, and my life. Fiona never seemed to bother much with my brothers but she seemed to take a particular interest in trying to make me better than  what she perceived I was. I always enjoyed my life as Dad and I would often take off on road trips at the last moment and leave our cares behind.  We never really realized at the time that it was Fiona who took over for our absence. Dad always drank a bit too much, and even drove as well, but
