In many instances these absences will be justified and necessary, but there is the potential for the good will of the employer to  be abused and the cost to have a negative impact on the company. In any commercial organization the firm has a responsibility to its owners and to the peer employees  to ensure that resources are maximised and work conditions are suitable in terms of the availability of labour. In order to ensure that this is the case the level of  work time exists needs to be minimised, with the employer able to develop a balanced approach, to facility necessary absences to support the employees which will also enhance the employment  relationship and support positive behavioural aspects such as loyalty commitment and productivity. However, where it is not controlled in order to reduce unnecessary costs and demonstrate employer control to act  as a deterrent as well as a control. 1.1 Justification for the study ENSAAD does not have a formal exist policy, this leads to a position where there are costs  being borne by the firm that are unmonitored and uncontrolled. In order to assess whether or not exits from the workplace by employees are a problem within the organization there  needs to be a system that can track the level, frequency and reasons behind the absences and determine if there is a potential problem in terms of individual employee behaviour  and/or costs. By examining the current processes and identifying a way in which the level of exits, in number and length, may impact on the environment and assess a way  that this can be both observed and manage is likely to increase the level of control and allow the employers to undertake better resource planning as well as reduce any
