faced problems in the past several years. In fact, prior to recent company history, the firm did phenomenally well, but times change, and today, Brother faces problems in terms of  its distribution methodology. In fact, this analysis ends with a recommendation for an overhaul of its delivery method and set up. Because this company is an international, established firm,  the transition will be costly. Yet, in order to resolve the problems presented in the case study, it appears that some of the suggestions are necessary. While this case study  analysis may be aligned with analytical and critical thinking skills, it is also useful in the study of operations management. This is a classic case of a successful firm that  only paid scant attention to logistics and practical measures as it relates to operations. Customer service also would go by the way side as corporate executives pursued success almost with  blinders on. Hence, this case study provides lessons in corporate triumph. It also suggests that sustainable success is only possible with attention to management as well as with the embrace  of a vision embraced by all stakeholders. II. Case Study Summary According to this case study, submitted by a student, Martin Crossley has the task of  evaluating two reports for Brother International. This company is responsible for supplying both electronic and electrical goods and happens to be a Japanese firm. It is further an international firm  with a variety of offices throughout the world. As the European Parts manager, Crossley has his work cut out for him. He reviews a spreadsheet which demonstrates inventory at the  sales office as well as a report on the European parts operation. Some background provided about the company suggests that this firm was a fast grower, particularly during the 1980s.
