    Summary of the research paper:

    This 5 page paper is written in two parts. The first part defines imports and exports, what they are and the advantages and disadvantages associated with the practices and the way exports of domestically produced goods maybe favored by a retail business. The second part of the paper examines the way policies may be implemented to encourage green practices by the power generation industry.     that are sold legitimately by one country to another, where the ownership of the goods are transferred between the residents of the different countries countries. The term refers to a  time when goods would all be shipped through ports. The export would be the goods that a country sold to another and then sent to that country, the goods and  services that leave the country. Imports are goods and services that are purchased and brought into the country. Therefore, one countries export is inherently another countries import. The  definition of exports today is broader than this sale of goods and services; it also includes gifts, grants and trades that result from barter. It is also notable that exports  can include intangible goods, such as information, and the export occurs where the ownership changes hands, so it is not always necessary for the goods to be physically moved (Anonymous,  2012). There are many examples of import and export. A firm such as an automotive manufacturer will both import and export. A good example may be Ford; looking  at their manufacturing facilities there is an engine manufacturing faculty located in Bridge End in Wales, UK, which manufactures engines for a range of Ford vehicles. To manufacture these parts  a number of goods are all imported, these will include steel and components that are used in the engines such as filters, sensors, wires etc. (Ford, 2012). The engines are  then put together using many of the imported components as well as some locally supplied goods, and are sent out to vehicle manufacturing plant, many of which are in other  countries such as France and Germany as well as some to facilities within the UK (Ford, 2012). Therefore, the firm imports components, processes them and then exports some of the
