Nazi Germany. With Hitler in charge, the goal was to literally exterminate all Jews, homosexuals, physically disabled, and others who did not fit neatly into his idea of the  ideal Aryan race. One cannot help but wonder how such a massive tragedy could have happened and who the people were who allowed this to happen. Obviously  Hitler was in charge but alone he wasnt capable of such mass terror. Indeed, he had many henchmen who were filled with the same capacity for evil and destruction  that he was, and they carried out the horrors of Hitlers holocaust. How Was the Holocaust Carried Out and Who Allowed it to Happen?  Nearly six million Jews died in the Holocaust, and in addition nearly five million others were also exterminated (The Holocaust, 2002). "Never before in the history of  humanity has there been such a large logistical and systematic effort for the sole purpose of extermination of human life" (The Holocaust, 2002). And, to add to the horror  of it all, it has since been revealed that absolutely meticulous notes were kept in regards to the entire Nazi agenda, including the extermination of so many lives (The Holocaust,  2002). One of these main "coordinators" was a man named Adolf Eichmann, who escaped to Argentina after the war (The Holocaust, 2002). Later, he was kidnapped by the  Israeli Secret Service and was then sentenced to death in Israel (The Holocaust, 2002). In terms of history, it becomes  very difficult to explain how such a tragedy as the Holocaust could have happened. How is it possible to explain the evil necessary to carry out such widespread executions
