As of now, the store maintains information the old-fashioned way, i.e., keeping information on their customers in  a notebook, with a record of rentals also kept in an notebook. Because of this system however, it is hard for the store to keep track of when the DVDs  are rented, when they are returned late and unpaid balances for customers. This is why SUN SHINE must move to the next level - that of placing customer and inventory  requirements onto an easy-to-use and follow computer system. In order to become more efficient, SUN SHINE needs to have a computer-based system  that can help better manage the customers, their charges and even their needs. In addition, the system should also keep a record of the store inventory. These seem to be  the two main purposes of any type of new system. With this in mind, wed recommend the implementation of Customer Management Relationship technology (CRM) to help with everything from customer  records, to inventory and more. CRM, in its most basic form, involves a system that is able to handle and store everything  that pertains to the customer in addition to the product/service. Successful CRM implementations depend mainly on how involved employees are in the set up (Sviokla and Wong, 2003). While CRM  is mainly used for large companies, some of the principles used in CRM can certainly be used for SUN SHINE. For example,  SUN SHINE needs to start not with the software or computer system when it comes to building an effective network, but with an analysis of the customers needs (Sviokla and
