marketplace. In this paper, the CEO of another international business, CompuCorp. Which also specializes in computer products and services, is concerned that
his company is continuing to loose market share to both Dell and HP. One reason for this is because the other firms have transformed their business models and reorganized their
supply chains to reflect a stronger e-commerce/e-business initiative. To better analyze whats going on in the marketplace and to have a better
understanding of what CompuCorp needs to do, the CEO has asked the student (in guise as a consultant) to research and write a preliminary report to provide an analysis of
what constitutes a successful e-commerce business, and how such initiatives could be utilized by CompuCorp. The report would also determine the benefits an organization could receive (especially in the area
of competitive advantage) by adopting the initiatives, and any potential risks it might incur through such a strategy. To provide an intelligent
accounting of the situation, the report will first focus on the backgrounds of both HP and Dell, then will perform a SWOT analysis on each of these companies. Following that,
