the right to experience fun in all that they do. Fun, like many other simple elements of life, has many definitions depending on the individual one is talking to. Bearing  that in mind, the following paper presents an examination of what the definition of fun may be. Fun It is perhaps interesting to note that everyone seems to  know when they are having fun, but they do not necessarily know how to define it. And, this reality becomes even more complex when something which is fun one time,  ceases to be fun the next time. For example, a person can have a great time doing somersaults with their child in the grass one day. But, they may not  find the notion of doing the same, on the next day, as a fun endeavor. This indicates that it is not necessarily a particular act that is fun, although a  particular act can often incite a feeling of fun each and every time. In this case one could note that an individual thought that surfing was fun and that no  matter the conditions, rain, sun, fog, wind, or even a condition where the waves were nearly non existent, this person found surfing to be fun. From the simple examination  thus far we can see that it is not necessarily the act that is fun. While it may be, in some cases for people who love a particular sport or  activity, it seems that the root of fun lies beneath the act or activity itself. This would perhaps indicate that it is a sensation perceived by the individual which makes  something fun. It is perhaps an attitude, a frame of mind at the time, an openness to freedom of spirit, or a number of other conditions that makes something fun.
