The approach starts with the way staff are recruited and continues with the trained internally and externally and development is traced with an employee assessment programme.  Despite this there are some weaknesses, the entry level staff receive less investment,. The paper puts foreword a strategy to reduce this inequality of development of the entry level staff  with the use of web based training over the company intranet to increase the reach f the development programme and increase standardization. Text The way in which a  business operates depends on a umber of factors, not only the process and the core operations, but the way in which the employees are developed. For business where services  are offered employee development may be seen as essential. Banks, such as the National Cayman Bank which offer off shore banking services need qualified and well developed employees if they  wish to hold onto their category A banking license (Cayman National Bank Ltd, 2007). The employment development reflects many of the patterns seen in the banking industry, where there  is the desire to acquire as well as train staff with the correct skills and qualifications. To assess the way that employee development may be enhanced it is important to  assess current practices. As the bank do not make their employee development program public knowledge we will have to make some assumptions that are common to the banking industry and  off shore banks. A SWOT analysis may be used to assess the way employee development takes place. The first strength may be seen in the way recruitment takes place.  Looking at the advisements for Cayman Bank and the requirements the bank is ensuring that the base line from which employee development will take place start out high.
