of the mid-1700s, there were great changes. The people would hold onto legends and ideas which were somewhat idealistic during ancient times and then transition to the Middle Ages, where  civilization would be similar to that of ancient society; soon, Europe would endure a detrimental period, but a period of creativity would follow. Later, trade would bring the people of  Europe new opportunities. Yet, while civilization changed once again as trade expanded ones physical ability to connect to others, Europeans stayed essentially the same, keeping an attitude that largely belonged  to the people who had thrived in the region for centuries. As time would go on, the people would become vital and independent. Government transitions and the emergence, or highlighting  of classes--particularly in France--would create intense conflict. Although conflict has existed always, each unique period that one travels through when exploring European civilization provides a sense of uniqueness. There were  no time periods that were much like another. Rather, each can claim a particular aura that is well understood today. Even the average person will comprehend Ancient society and comes  to associate it with the Gods and unusual rituals and Medieval society is thought to be chivalrous. Transitioning to the Middle Ages also comes with other ideals and towards the  end of the eighteenth century, things changed immensely. Trade had already opened new doors, but the people were no longer content. Each period of time had its own unique characteristics.  In comparing and contrasting political organization, religion, and society of the ancient Greeks and the Roman Empire, one sees a great deal of similarities. Greeks were largely democratic  and the Romans were democratic, but to a much lesser extent. Many of the beliefs were similar as the Romans would often take things such as ideology, belief in
