    New York, and have lived the past 4 years in New London, Connecticut, while attending the University of Connecticut. I met my current husband at the university, we married  and are expecting our first child in February of 2002. My husband is 30 year old banking professional who current supports our family and is providing support for my  educational experience at the University. I am woman of Latino decent; my mother was born and raised in Cuba and my father was born in Brooklyn, the son  of immigrant parents from Argentina. The primary language in my childhood home is Spanish, though I speak fluent English and speak English in my own home. My husbands  family is African American, and he was born and raised outside of Birmingham, Alabama. PART II: CURRENT STATUS I am currently employed as a  part-time retail sales associate at J. C. Penny in New London, working part-time to assist in paying for my classes at the University. My husband also assists with contributions  to the family budget and these two incomes are the primary support for myself and my husband. I consider my home an upper-middle class home and we live  an upper-middle class lifestyle. My husband works and I attend school and our lifestyle is one primarily dominated by professional work and school experiences. Our social interactions often  focus on time spent with other professionals, other students, or with indivdiasusl in our small neighborhood, a number of whom are educators at the University or the small private college  nearby. On the weekends, my husband and I share some common activities, including an interest in sailing and a love of sports. When we are not socializing
