    simplistic form of cultural application comes from the painstaking dedication of those whose passion is to piece together the missing links of the entire picture. Contemporary anthropologists have come  to understand that the human cultural condition is "part of a complex interplay" (Human Behavior) between the environment and biology, where there exists a direct link between brain chemistry and  structure that ultimately dictates the evolution of mans cultural behavior. "Any classic humanism...postulates that in scratching the history of men a little...one very quickly reaches the solid rock of  a universal human nature" (Barthes 101). Basing contemporary culture upon the findings of millions of years ago effectively establishes a much-needed connection as  to the progression of cultural elements. It is through these discoveries that scientists, as well as the general public, can begin to grasp a clearer indication of their own  actions in relation to their prehistoric ancestors. As the human species continues to embark upon the twenty-first century, it will continue to be a challenge to gain a greater  understanding of how human cultural behavior is shaped by outer influences, as well as evolutionary ones. Within the fundamental framework of civilization reside  a number of issues that serve to impede inter-cultural communication. Considering the multitude of cultural variance that exists throughout the world, it is quite easy to understand the inherent  difficulties when one society attempts to communicate with another when there is only a minimum of comprehension of the others language. The fact that language erects a significant communication  barrier is quite easy to understand; with the dozens of various tongues spoken around the world, it does not take much comprehension to accept this argument.
