    negative impact on the environment and allows a self sufficient cooperative to develop and benefit from the waste products of the environment, the naturally felled mahogany trees. The workers are  all much better off now they are in the cooperative and the families are benefiting with children receiving the education their parents could not. However, it is with the education  that the cooperative may be lacking. The cooperative members do not have an education beyond infant school, they do not have business knowledge and as such, for many years were  in a position where a single supplier of transport was able to take advantage of them. Today they are happier, they are receiving more money, but the lack of any  official or accurate records and the anecdotal evidence indicates that although the price they are paid has increased, the members of the cooperative may still be losing out due to  a total lack of accountability. This is a venture which has had success in absolute terms, but also has much room for improvement. Question 2 If we undertaken a  SWOT analysis of Guajilote we can see the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The strength may be seen with the exclusive license to use a resource that is increasing in  value. There are few supplies of mahogany due to its rarity. This is a legitimate source that does not damage the environment. The only holder of a license such as  this and the ability of the workers to saw the wood close to the fall site are all strengths. It may also be argued that the new leader, Santos Munguia,  is also a strength. He has provided a definitive leadership that the cooperative had been lacking increasing the price from the supplier and being seen as the savior of the
