    agency, facing an ethical dilemma. During a board meeting, in which all the junior partners and one or two senior partners had a brain storming session about clients and possible  advertising strategies, she had suggested what she considered to be a great idea for one of their leading sports apparel clients. Mr. Kilders, the senior member at the table, simply  nodded his head and the discussion was redirected to another junior partner at the table, Alan Roberts. It was irritating to Maria that she should be overlooked in this  way, but insult was added to injury when seconds later, Alan mentions the same idea, even using the same wording as she had used, to pitch the same idea about  the sports company to Mr. Kilders. It was no surprise to Maria that Kilders thought this was a wildly progressive idea and cajoled the whole group saying, "Why dont the  rest of you think outside of the box like Alan?" Fuming, Maria left the business meeting sure that she should do something about the situation, but unsure how to proceed.  She knew from observation that a confrontational approach to speaking with a Senior partner would mean instant dismissal, and she needed this job. She was the sole support for her  son, and the thing that irritated her the most was that Kilders knew it. He had her right where he wanted her. Surely, she could get another advertising job, but  this one paid so well and the benefits were better than any of the others. In the end, as she had done before when this had occurred, she went back  to her office, swallowed a couple of aspirin and looked at the picture of her son that sat on her desk. What other options did she have? Marias situation is
