high class burrito. The companys past has lead to its current passion where there are a number of challenges. In order to assess the challenges the positions of the company  should be assessed, the analysis and case may then be used to assess the problems and develop recommendations. 2. Environmental Analysis The quick service industry is a segment of the  fast food industry. It is a very competitive segment, with many large companies, such as McDonalds and KFC through to many small independent operations. To look at HTB a SWOT  analysis may be used to consider the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. 2.1 Strengths HTB has a number of strengths. The concept of the high quality burrito, made  in a way that is healthy was different to many other offerings on the market and created a new niche market for high quality burritos and also traded under a  unique and memorable name. Initially opening a single restaurant and then expanding the company has managed to gain a first mover advantage in the San Francisco Bay area. The first  mover advantage can be a strong advantage if the company leverages this advantage (Porter, 1985). HTB leveraged the first mover advantage in the San Francisco area, with rapid growth. The  position was supported by the emphasis on quality, which competitors find difficult to replicate. The result has been a string of awards for the food that is served. There  are also other strengths, Greg Maples, the CEO and founder of HTB is an entrepreneur, so is creative and is also passionate about his own company. This has been seen  with the products, but it is also seen in the culture. Greg makes sure that he shows all the staff they are important and will even work in the restaurants
