a theoretical design can be used practically, a case study is selected in the form of a retail giant. Home Depot is chosen as a company that seems  to have a stellar record both in terms of customer service and employee satisfaction. However, what is demonstrated by the media, and placed in the public eye by Home Depot  itself, is not necessarily indicative of the real management problems that exist within Home Depot stores. Through an analysis of conflict system design literature, and an examination of Home Depot,  a design is created to further study management and communication practices at this major company. Problems are found and recommendations are made in order to alleviate the disagreements through a  conflict system design application. While this proposal is made with the use of some actual and some example data, one may conclude that making slight changes, by implementing new systems  is not very difficult. Thus, this example serves to demonstrate that while there are procedures that seem entrenched in a corporation, and difficult to change, changes can be quickly and  easily implemented with thorough planning. The designer begins the process by working with stakeholders for the purposes of comprehending the current system (2002). Key design principles  are applied in order to create a more effective system (2002). Also, the existing dispute resolution system is a important in respect to designing a new one and so, during
