This was not the case with my senior year psychology teacher, who was -- unbeknownst to me -- the most notorious player that schools administration had ever seen.  Indeed, he was handsome and charming, making me feel as though I was the most special student in all his classes. At seventeen, attention from a much older  man is often something that is difficult to overlook, particularly when one feels very comfortable in his presence as was the case with this teacher. What I did not  know was that he had a history riddled with one-night affairs with a number of my classmates. We did end up meeting for one night behind a closed furniture store  in the back of his van. Feelings of humiliation danced around my head as I wondered why he was so intent upon secluding us as he had, yet they  did not deter me from taking full advantage of this good looking mans attentions. As it turned out, he was unable to hold up his end, so to speak,  and nothing of any importance ever took place. I was filled with a combination of frustration and disappointment, but he did not seem to be too concerned with how  the situation turned out; this, as I see now, was because he had a queue of others just waiting for the opportunity to take my place in that van.  Only years later, at my ten-year reunion, was I mature enough to confront him with what I thought of his despicable behavior, which I had learned had not changed one  bit during the previous decade. #2 In high school I had a black boyfriend. This was something my mother never considered
