It is one of top ten exporting  houses in India. The company provides a vast array of information technology services, including systems implementation and maintenance, engineering design support, software development and application integration. Satyam also offers Internet  services through Satyam Infoway, a subsidiary. Infoway accounts for 12 percent of the companys total sales. Infoway is also one of the largest Internet service providers in India (Hyderabad Online,  1998; Hoovers, 2001; Indian Sources On-Line, 2001). Satyam has customers in more than 60 countries worldwide. Customers in the United States include such large corporations as NCR, GE,  Caterpillar and many more. U.S. sales account for more than 70 percent of the companys sales (Hoovers, 2001; Indian Sources On-Line, 2001). Additionally, Satyam has forged numerous  alliances over the years, including with IBM, Siebel and Microsoft.
