the companies which manufacture junk foods are doing so in order to deliver a good product. In short, there is substantial evidence to argue that the large corporations which produce
junk food do so only to make a buck, and not to offer any luxury, comfort or contribute to the health of Americas citizens. Junk food seems to be synonymous
with comfort, and that is for the most part what corporations attempt to convince the public they are selling. Through their advertising gimmicks junk food is made to look glamorous,
sexy, comfortable, a reward for oneself. However, the lie is that those sexy models who eat the candies or chow down on the loaded hot dog do not eat those
things in real life. If they did they would not look like supermodels for long. They would be fat. They would be like the majority of Americans, overweight and in
a health crisis. "Approximately 127 million adults in the U.S. are overweight, 60 million obese, and 9 million severely obese," states the American Obesity Association. If this many people
had a disease, there would be a widespread and enthusiastic campaign to find a cure. However, because obesity is not considered a disease, but rather a condition, then it is
often ridiculed or overlooked. But the bottom line still remains: How did Americans become so overweight? What placed them in this healthcare nightmare? Junk Food. More precisely, it was
