Bryan Babcock for the Paperstore, Inc., January 2001 Introduction Our discussion is a problem-solving one. What if anything can be done with an  over eighty year old air facility, that, its owner, the City of Dallas, feels must still accommodate commercial flights? An alternative and creative solution is suggested; wouldnt  we want at least that for an honored grandmother, even if she is airborne Thesis statement: Lets give Love a Hug - and put her to bed!  Although Dallas at Love Field has acreage for expansion, its physical plant is of minimal standard, due to age with few out-building exceptions. The Field receives on an average  of thirty calls per month for sound pollution. Four schools in the area have been additional sound-proofed at city expense to pay for continuation of the field. Therefore  it is suggested that the physical plant not be expanded. The Historical Aviation site on the field should be approached for possible partnering to convert the whole field to  a historic site and seek funding to do so. If a commercial flight wants to enter this historic zone, after it is established it must meet all the safety  regulations which will be imposed. History Charles Lindbergh arrived at Love Field in his Spirit of St. Louis on September 27, 1927, ten  days after the airport had opened for commercial flight service. By then the airport had already been in existence for ten years after its wartime beginnings as a World War
