of Leiningers Transcultural Nursing theory and providing culturally specific care. This is a comprehensive, easily negotiated site that provides a thorough introduction to the principles of transcultural nursing. Citing Leininger,
the basic concepts page to the core concepts and definitions of this model. Each page at the site has helpful links that guide the user toward further information on this
nursing model. There are also links to books on the subject available on Amazon.com. However, while this site offers a great deal of information on transcultural nursing, it is not
offer much information that is specific to Leiningers theory. However, the site, and Leiningers theory, is attractive to nurses because it shows the utility of cultural competence to delivering quality
nursing care. Exploring sites on Leiningers theory, in an effort to find one that gives more information on this theory, one of the most helpful sites is one in
which the authors identify themselves as Brenda, Harmeet and Harjit (2002). This site offers, first of all, an overview of nursing models and general system theory. Then, the authors discuss
in detail the theories of Betty Neuman, Madeleine Leininger and Callista Roy and, also, describe direct applications of each theory. Each page on this site is heavily referenced, which also
provides for the reader a list of further sources of information. The overview of Leiningers theory provided here informs the reader that this model was established four decades ago, but
