    the hard fought battles between the sexes and the curiously unfamiliar roles in which men and women find themselves these days: a common ground is always found, somewhere. One has  to hope that, that common ground will be at home first, because, as it is said, that is where the heart is. According to several authors and their books, there  are various reasons for this battle of the sexes, which will first need to be addressed. "Just be a man." How many times has this phrase been uttered to someone  who has varied from the standardization or characterization of the male norm? One wonders that people dont stop to figure out what they are actually asking of the person to  whom they have made the statement. Are they asking for the person to be more of a gender than he already is? If so, how can one be more biologically  male than they already are? Or, are they asking the person to conform to accepted societal concepts of what it is to be male? The one problem that becomes obvious  is that there seems to be a type of confusion about what the definition is for male. From a purely scientific and biological perspective, it is quite obvious what makes  a male, well, a male. There is no arguing with biological facts and figures in this context. However, having stated that, it is also true that being a man in  the true sense of the definition is more than biology, but rather, more a matter of will, a choice to live and abide by a certain set of unwritten expectations.  This male role model fights when he must, is strong when he needs to be, and is socially and morally responsible to his community. This sense of fair play and
