    traditional management styles are no longer viable and new innovative approaches are instead embraced. A student writing on this subject will want to not only look at a variety of  points of view on this, but also provide personal insights into how management can be revitalized to go along with changes in society overall and to view leadership from a  new perspective. Management models have changed and what is exciting about the new approaches, and about the topic overall, is that the later management models are decidedly more creative.  What is important in studying change today is that the old, autocratic model that had been treasured for so long is hardly relevant. Today, people come first and it is  thought that the way to succeed is to treat employees well and fulfill their needs, both personally and professionally. In discerning new methodology, a student writing on this subject might  want to present a real life experience in the form of a case study. Such a study may be analyzed in conjunction with academic research on this broad topic.  II. Case Study A student writing on a real-life experience concerning management might express something similar to what follows. In one instance, in a large insurance  company, a critical incident demonstrated a clear lack of leadership from the person in charge. In the actuarial department of a large insurance firm, there were a number of employees  divided into sections. In the Statements and Statistics section, there were six employees, one of whom was older and uneducated. Carrie had worked her way up to an analyst position  and while she was a good, dedicated, hard worker, she had risen above her natural abilities. In other words, she could not compete with the college graduates hired to fill
