Although the company is highly  efficient in many ways, there are still areas of potential improvement. The aim of this proposal is to suggest a small change in operational procedures which will result in both  cost savings as when as a greater level of operational efficiency at the same time is potentially increasing level of safety for the employees. The proposal concerns operational changes in  the way that specific pieces of equipment are greased, this is a task currently undertaken by dedicated employees. This proposal outlines why undertaking this task is existing machine operators will  result in a multitude of benefits to the company and the employees. By making some simple changes, there is potential to eliminate operating costs as well as protect  the capital investments by extending the life of machinery and reducing the number of repentance are likely to be needed. This is current undertaken by staff employed for this specific purpose, on a three day basis. However the job requires no specific skills and  could easily be transferred to the equipment operators. Not only would this save money on wages, there would also be other benefits as the result of a better daily greasing  schedule, including optimising the performance of the machinery, extending the useful life and increasing safety levels. The recommendation is that the five jobs are eliminated and the operating staff
