Reflection, Synthesis of Diabetes Articles Research  Compiled By - September, 2012 properly! Abstract The following examination of literature  pertaining to type 2 diabetes mellitus, begins by describing, summarizing and analyzing the study conducted by Barko, et al (2011). The writer/tutor describes how the study article stipulated critical thinking  due to the fact that it aids nurses in appreciating the influence of cultural background and experience, as it describes how the Slavic immigrant participants understand and react to their  chronic diabetic condition. The writer/tutor then describes the reflective observations and feelings that reading the article generated. Additional topics discussed include how the study article is applicable to the  course, as well as clinical nurse specialist (CNS) core competencies. The manner in which the Barko, et al (2011) study is applicable to HP 2020 and UN Millennium Development Goals  is described before offering a literature synthesis, which summarizes four study articles pertaining to diabetes and ethnic groups. The next section offers synthesis and discussion of all five of the  study articles reviewed.
