A 7 page paper that presents a research proposal for the entitled issue. Most of literature posits that by the age of 15, almost half of American children will have lived in a single-parent family. This research will obtain student grades in three subjects of children living only with their mothers. The study includes children from each grade level and a charter school in a large school district in California. A descriptive design will be used.
